So... six months to the day that I graduated... six looooong months... and I finally hear those two beautiful words : "You're Hired!"

Okay okay.. so I'm starting out part time- which means I'll continue to sling beer in the meantime, but HEY- it's a start. I've wedged my size 11 shoe through the front door of an all-news CNN affiliated radio station in San Jose... and with very little experience. Most people would have to go to the Midwest or Mudlick, Kentucky to get a start. But here I am...

So I'm pretty stoked. Oh, what will I be doing, you ask? Not much really.... just newswriting, reporting, and anchoring- you know, the little stuff. Woo-Hoo.

So I gotta go now and get caught up on world events and issues pertaining to the Silicon Valley.

Turkey, Football, and K...

Yep... that was my Thanksgiving spread... all for me! Too bad no one was there to share in it, but there were plenty of leftovers. Here's an aerial view:


Friday, My brother Larry came to visit. I had bought two tickets to the Stanford/Notre Dame game on Saturday, so he was up for the weekend. Yes, he brought K with him as well. Friday night we watched the 80's classic: Zapped:


Saturday before the game we had to take K to the Jasmine Tea House:


And then it was off to the game... we got there a little early:


The game itself was a real nailbiter... looked like we might lose in the fourth quarter:


But in the end we were victorious and happy:


Add in an overtime Charger victory on Sunday and it made for one great F***ing weekend!!!

All I Want Is Everything...

I'm sooo lame. I have finished Christmas shopping already! I'm talking wrapped and everything... AND IT'S NOT EVEN THANKSGIVING YET! I blame it on my unsuccessful post-grad existence. Nothing else to do during the day.... might as well shop!

Seriously though, it's nice to be done with it! Now I can concentrate on me! So here is my REALISTIC Christmas wish list for 2005:

When is Thanksgiving Anyway?

So I had a dream that I was shopping for Thanksgiving foodies... and everything was gone!!! I just remember being totally bummed as all the shelves in Safeway were empty!

So I woke up this morning and decided to go early-Thanksgiving shopping.

At this point, I have no Thanksgiving plans. Eidelyn will be gone and I'm not going to San Diego. I am unsure as to what anyone else is doing.

So it might just be me, the NFL, and a whole lotta food come Turkey day.

The menu:
Butterball Oven Roasted Turkey
Mashed Potatoes
Turkey flavored Stove Top Stuffing
Oven Roasted Turkey Gravy
Candied yams baked with Brown Sugar, Butter, and Marshmallows
