What Am I Doing Here?!

So I started training at KLIV... everything is going really well. People seem to like me and I've been complimented on my writing as well as my ability to pick up on things quickly.

That being said...

THERE IS SO MUCH TO LEARN! I actually did a 2-hour on-air shift tonight. I wasn't AWFUL, but I was no Walter Cronkite either! Bad part is, being the holiday season... everyone needs days off. That equals open shifts that need to be filled even if i could really use a bit more training before flying solo... Ain't gonna happen!

Sink or swim, Baby! A couple of weeks from now I'll have all this business down pat... It's just gonna be rough sailing for a bit... So don't listen to me on my shifts until mid-January! I'll let you know when it's safe!

Might as well use this time to bitch about my schedule for the next couple of days too. Tomorrow: 7:30-12 at the station, then drive from San Jo to San Fran by 2p so I can serve tea til 4, and then open the bar and work til 10. Then i gots to drive back to Menlo and do the whole thing over again Friday. And then Saturday my flight to SD leaves around 7A. I'm tired already!

Looks like I'll be sleeping in San Diego... ALOT!!!
